Just did my interview , how did I do ?

On self reliance part 3

Emerson says that just because we do certain things that make us look good doesn’t actually mean we’re good people and I agree with him . You don’t always wanna hear that your doing a good job because we all know it could be a lie I would rather hear what I didn’t do right so I could work on it and make it better. Instead of just doing something because it looks good we should do it because we care about the situation.

On self reliance part 2

Emerson wanted us to know that we can’t be our best if we don’t try or put in our best effort into what we’re doing. Society is like a bully they always find something to use against us. Everybody wants to fit in because they’re afraid to be themselves and stand out. Why does it have to be like that ? Why can’t everyone just be themselves without having to worry about being made fun of or feeling insecure?

First impression of “on self-reliance “

My first impression on this essay was that he wasn’t afraid to say what he felt. He didn’t sugar coat what he was saying because he was scared people weren’t going to like what he was saying. He said what he was thinking and didn’t care what people thought about it because he realized that we are responsible for our own lives nobody else is. That is was caught my attention because I feel like most people haven’t realized that.

The value of my time

Some actions in the present time that might help me in my future are I am able to manage time responsibly and I know what I need to do and what needs to get done. One of my future goals is to go to college and major in history so I could be a history teacher and time has to do with most of history because certain things happened in certain time periods so it’s kind of ironic. To achieve these goals of mine I have to stay focused and I have to manage my time wisely.

How I read

When we read the essay I realized that just because some people are called amateurs doesn’t mean that they aren’t good at things. When we were reading it in class I couldn’t really focus on what he was reading I tried but I couldn’t do when I got home I read it again and I feel like when you read something mire than once it can be more helpful . When I read it the second time i understood it more . We should embrace who we are and what we read and do.

i think that hawthorne wrote this story because he wanted to show people that not everyone is a good person. I think that stephan king was affected by this story because maybe it inspired him to start his career in horror novels and movies. The power of our imagination is very strong. Most people believe that you can go or do anything your imagination let's you do.
